Next Generation Cloud Native OSS Solutions
Jio Platform’s holistic strategy for the cloud native OSS transformation offers a modern, scalable, highly agile, and modular OSS framework to expedite the business needs of today’s agile, cost-conscious and competitive environment resulting in faster time to market combined with OPEX reductions. JPL’s cloud native OSS solutions consists of carrier grade products, capable of scaling as the network grows, maintaining high performance levels as the number of network elements increases, and providing simplified integration with third-party systems. It enables automated, dynamic, intelligent provisioning and configuration, coupled with robust fault and performance management systems which helps in end-to-end service automation. All solutions are based on microservices that can be upgraded and scaled up independently which ensures inline upgrades with zero downtime and gives the whole solution great resilience.
OSS Fulfilment Management System (OSS FMS)
OSS Fulfilment Management System is a next generation workflow orchestration, provisioning and activation platform that simplifies operations by replacing a traditional, high-touch management model with a next generation, programmable and virtualized model. The platform also includes Unified Inventory Management (UIM) to execute provisioning workflows for products and services. It delivers cost reductions, service agility, and faster time-to-market through its truly cloud native design for telco grade networks.

Network Management System (NMS)
Network Management System (NMS) is a critical piece in the overall telecommunications management solution. It is the sole mediator for monitoring and managing the FCAPs data of the core network elements and provides a single pane of glass for the Network Operations Centre. It is fully integrated with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities, leading to “light touch” operations. JPL’s NMS is fault tolerant by design, this means it stays operational 99.999% of the time. It is completely 3GPP Release 16 compliant and is designed to support ETSI NFV architecture to manage network elements both in the form of VNFs/CNFs and Physical Network Functions (PNFs).

Integrated Performance Management (IPM)
Integrated Performance Management (IPM) platform helps the system operators to interrelate a set of activities, connecting the metrics, processes and systems used to monitor and manage business performance. Constant monitoring of the performance counters and KPIs of the network elements minimises the risk of failure and improves the quality, agility and relevance of business outcomes. The aim is to provide operations team a platform where they can perform all the requirements related to performance counters. This platform is curated keeping in mind the latest trends in the technological era, focusing on automation of network data and its usage on a near real time basis.

Unified Assurance Platform (UAP)
Unified Assurance Platform streamlines ticket management process, service management and help desk operations. It helps to boost productivity, minimize manual errors, keeps end users happy, and free up their time to focus on vital tasks. Moreover, it covers automated ticketing with streamlined workflows and advanced search filtering functionality. It is a powerful platform for centralized management and monitoring of Trouble Tickets, Work Orders and Workflows using an intuitive graphical user interface. The system also has capability to intelligently categorize the trouble tickets and create work orders for appropriate operations centre.
Common API Framework (CAPIF)
CAPIF is a simple and effective network layer API, enabling abstraction and orchestration capability. It is a 3GPP compliant platform that exposes network capabilities as Restful APIs. These APIs abstract the complexity of underlying 5G network infrastructure while taking full advantage of its capabilities, enabling next-generation AI, MEC, AR/VR/XR and IoT applications to be network aware. CAPIF provides a unified and reusable API management framework which can be used by multiple domain specific exposure functions such as SCEF, NEF, etc.
Unified Inventory Management (UIM)
UIM stores the logical and physical inventory data of every asset, device, nodes, and applications, including active and passive devices. All touch points in the network which need to provision or query the inventory data for enrichment has an interaction with UIM. It provides a unified view of the inventory in tree-based format allowing users to have detailed information about all assets and their pyramid hierarchy. UIM significantly improves the reliability and accessibility of the inventory management system for operational processes in a large telco-infrastructure.
Data Coverage Function (DCF)
DCF offers end to end extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of inventory data from industry leading service resource management platforms to other target functions such as JPL's NMS in near to real time. It has the capability to parallel process the data from multiple upstream nodes and provide the transformed data to multiple downstream nodes. During ETL phases, it maintains strong consistency of data between heterogeneous database environments.
Network Slicing Platform
Network Slicing Platform is a standards based, vendor-agnostic intelligent automation solution that enables zero-touch slice lifecycle automation, which includes planning, instantiation, and operations of end-to-end (E2E) network slices across the RAN, Transport, and Core domains. The Platform in the 5G SA architecture is one of the key tenets for enabling deployment of multiple logical, self-contained and independent, shared or partitioned networks concurrently on a common infrastructure platform. It provides ease to an enterprise and service operator to easily subscribe and create a service slice while ensuring that underlying 5G Core Network Functions are using the same physical hardware. The platform ensures segregated logical deployment as per service level requirements of a customer. So, whether an enterprise is looking for smart classroom service or Enterprise VPN service or plethora of other use cases, JPL’s Network Slicing Platform will assist in creation of a slice for the same and integrate it with the existing network.
5G Cloud Native Instrumentation Stack (CNIS)
5G CNIS offers a scalable new approach to monitor cloud-native applications that delivers unified visibility across the application ecosystem. It is easy to deploy and manage, and results in faster troubleshooting. It is fully adapted to the cloud-native ecosystem providing full operational visibility into containers, and microservices running on modern cloud-based application infrastructure.
RAN Network Management System (RAN NMS)
Radio Access Network NMS platform is capable of effectively monitoring and managing the FCAPs information of RAN elements and provides comprehensive dashboards for easy visualization. The platform supports smooth accessibility and visualization of RAN elements through an interactive web based user interface. It also provides more than a thousand customized reports out of the box for current & historic data. This enables greater visibility during operations and management of network elements and help minimize costs by allowing faster network roll-out, identification and restoration of network and service issues.
