You can make VoIP calls using the JioCall app which brings 4G HD voice and video calling to all 2G/3G (with a JioFi), and 4G LTE smartphones. It also enables all smartphones with Rich Communication (RCS) capabilities such as in-call sharing, location sharing, group chats, doodles, etc., thereby enhancing the quality of all your interactions.
The JioCall app offers VoIP and uses your Jio SIM number to help you make and receive VoIP calls from any mobile or landline number. You can also send an SMS to any mobile user.
JioCall is the VoLTE app which empowers you to do the followings:

  • Make VoLTE calls to any mobile or landline number in India
  • Allows voice Conferencing with any mobile or landline number in India
  • Send and receive SMS from any local or national number
  • Make video calls to other Jio contacts
  • Make calls from your phone dialer directly (the Enhanced Calling feature)
JioCall is a feature-rich app which is superior to other VoLTE apps in many aspects. Some of the features are as follows:

  • App-to-app and off-net services: Most of the VoIP apps in the market allow only app-to-app services. It means that a user on App ‘A’ can make/receive calls only from users who are on App ‘A’.
    But, with the JioCall app, you can not only allow app-to-app services but also enjoy VoLTE calling on any mobile or landline number. It means that any JioCall user can make/receive VoIP calls not only from other JioCall users but also from any landline/mobile number.
  • The app that uses your Jio SIM number: The JioCall app uses the Jio SIM number and makes it JioCall’s app number. You can use this number like a regular phone number to make or receive VoLTE calls from any mobile/landline. Also, you can send/receive SMS from any mobile number.
  • Never seen before features: To make your calling experience more delightful and exciting, JioCall brings you some unique and amazing Rich Calling i.e., In-call Share
JioCall is currently supported only on smartphones with Android OS V4.1 & latest. Moreover, the smartphone needs to be a GSM phone having a valid IMEI number.
  • You have to download JioCall from the Google Play Store.
  • After downloading it, you have to configure it using a Jio SIM.
  • If you have a 4G phone, simply insert a Jio SIM and the app will auto-configure.
  • If you have a JioFi with Jio SIM, you can configure any 2G/3G/4G smartphone with it.
  • Once you configure JioCall, the phone number of the Jio SIM with which it is configured becomes the phone number of the app and the app is ready to be used.
No. Currently, JioCall works only when connected to the Jio LTE network. It is not configured to work over any public Wi-Fi or data network.
JioCall can be configured only on one device with a Jio SIM at a time. To use the JioCall app on a different device with the same JioFi SIM, you need to configure the app on that phone using JioFi. The app will no longer be functional on your earlier phone/device. The JioCall app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
