Lakhs of devotees visit the three biggest melas of Punjab every year. The celebrations of Shaheedi Jor Mela at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Hola Mohalla at Sri Anandpur Sahib, and Maghi Mela at Sri Muktsar Sahib usually extend across a period of three days each. These melas hold tremendous significance and value in the hearts of the community, thus witnessing a very high footfall at each event.
For those who are unaware, Shaheedi Jor Mela is held in the memory of younger 'Sahibzadas' of Sri Guru Gobind Singh - Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh along with Mata Gujari Kaur. Hola Mohalla is organised to highlight the essence of the Sikh community's bravery to the world. Maghi Mela is held in the memory of the 40 Muktas or the liberated ones, who laid down their lives while fighting the Mughals.
Due to the pandemic-stricken scenario, hundreds of devotees were kept from attending the holy festival. - Created dedicated Wi-Fi zones to assist thousands of devotees to perform various urgent online tasks seamlessly.
