How can I start using voice and video calls on JioSafe?
The Contacts tab on the app shows all your JioSafe contacts. You can tap on the voice/video call icon to start a call. You can also add your frequent contacts to your favourites and start calling them directly from the Favorites tab. The Recents tab displays your incoming and outgoing call logs with quick callback options.
How can I start chatting with friends on JioSafe?
The Contacts tab on the app shows all your JioSafe contacts with the chat icon next to them. You can tap on the chat icon to start a chat. You can also add your frequent contacts to your favourite and start a chat directly from the Favorites tab. The Chats tab displays all your active chat sessions. You can start a new chat by tapping on the + icon on the Chats tab too.
How do I create a group?
On tap the + icon on the Chats tab your contacts and groups lists will be shown. The group's list will show all your existing groups and will provide an option to create a new group. You can add up to 499 JioSafe contacts to create a group. All your active groups will appear in the Chats tab.
What is a Secure Room in JioSafe?
Secure Room is a 5-member group video calling feature. You can create any number of Secure rooms and the rooms will remain on the app. With a tap of a button, you can start the group video call with your friends in the room.
How can I make my communication 'True Secure'?
To make your communication 'True Secure', you need to ensure the following:

- Use a Jio 5G number on a 5G-compatible Android/iOS phone to register for the app.
- Disconnect your Wi-Fi and use the same Jio 5G SIM as your mobile data while using the app.
In the case of a one-to-one voice/video call, both the parties on call need to fulfil these conditions to make the call 'True Secure'. During a call, you can see the security status of both the parties required to make the call True Secure.
During a Secure room call, all the online members who have joined the call need to fulfil these conditions to make the call True Secure. You can see the security status of all parties required to make the call True Secure.
To make a message True Secure, the sender needs to be True Secure when the message is sent and the receiver needs to be True Secure when it’s received. In the message info, you can see whether a received message is True Secure or not.
You will get an alert inside the app if any of these conditions need fixing to enable True Secure communication. When you are ready for True Secure communication, you will see a green shield on top of your app homepage.
