About JioFiber FAQ
What is the Wi-Fi coverage provided by the Jio Home Gateway on the JioFiber network?
The JioHome Gateway is designed to give strong, stable Wi-Fi coverage for most Indian homes. In typical conditions, it can comfortably cover an open area of around 1,000 sq. ft. on the same floor. This is ideal for apartments, 1–2 BHK homes, and compact office spaces.
However, actual Wi-Fi range can vary because wireless signals are affected by many real-world factors inside your home.
What can affect your JioFiber Wi-Fi coverage?
- Several conditions may reduce or change the coverage area
- Interference from nearby Wi-Fi routers in your building or neighbourhood
- Router placement, especially if it’s inside a cabinet, corner, or behind objects
- Number of walls between the Home Gateway and the device
- Wall thickness and material (concrete walls weaken signal the most)
- Distance from the router — signal drops as you move farther away
- Too many devices connected at once
How to improve JioFiber Wi-Fi coverage?
To get better indoor coverage, try the following:
Place the Home Gateway in a central, open area
Keep it away from metal objects and inside-wall cabinets
Make sure no other routers are too close
Ensure your issue is not device-specific by checking signal bars
Use the MyJio → Run Diagnostics tool to check coverage in real time
