OTT apps FAQ
What should I do if my TV screen connected to the Jio Set Top Box is showing a blurred image or the colours look mismatched?
If your TV shows a blurred picture, washed-out colours, or unusual colour tones while using the Jio Set Top Box, it usually happens because of a loose HDMI connection or incorrect display settings.
You can fix the picture clarity issues easily by following the steps below.
Alternative 1:
- Check and clean the HDMI connection
- Unplug the HDMI cable from your TV’s HDMI port.
- Take a small brush or a clean cloth and gently clean the TV’s HDMI port to remove dust.
- Reconnect the HDMI cable firmly into the same HDMI port.
- If the issue continues, try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
- Check whether the picture quality has improved.
If the picture still looks blurred or the colours remain off, try the second method below.
Alternative 2:
- Adjust the HDR settings
- On the Jio Set Top Box, go to Settings.
- Select Display & Audio Settings.
- Choose HDR Settings.
- You will see three options: Auto, On, Off.
- Select Off to disable HDR.
- Reboot the Set Top Box and check if the picture quality is now clear.
- Disabling HDR often fixes colour mismatch issues caused by TV-model compatibility.
