About Postpaid FAQ

Why do I have to pay a security deposit for JioFiber services?

The security deposit for JioFiber is a refundable amount collected for the Jio Home Gateway (router) and any other Jio-provided devices installed at your home. This deposit ensures safe usage of the equipment and enables Jio to offer high-quality devices without charging you an upfront cost.
You will receive the security deposit back when you discontinue your JioFiber service, as long as all devices are returned in good and working condition.
    Important things to know:
  • The security deposit is fully refundable after device return and account closure.
  • All refunds for JioFiber are processed through NEFT directly to your bank account.
  • The refund process may take up to 60 days from the date you raise the cancellation request.
  • Make sure you return all devices, including the Jio Home Gateway, Set Top Box (if applicable), power adapters and cables, to avoid delays or deductions.
  • You can track your disconnection status and refund progress through the MyJio app or by contacting JioFiber Care.
The security deposit helps Jio maintain service quality and ensures you get reliable, high-performance broadband equipment at no additional upfront cost.
