I am not able to make calls. What do I do?

If you are unable to make calls or for some reason calls from Jio are not connecting, follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Check if your mobile phone is compatible with Jio 4G VoLTE or LTE network.
    If you are using an LTE compatible mobile, install Jio4GVoice App to make calls.
  2. Ensure your Android or iOS mobile phone is updated with the latest device software.

    For Android Users:

  3. Ensure the network settings on your device are enabled.

    iOS users:

  4. Check if you are getting VoLTE/LTE/4G sign beside the signal bars on your handset. 
    Restart your mobile if you are still not getting VoLTE / LTE / 4G sign on the device.
  5. Ensure that you have completed the tele-verification process using your Jio SIM by dialing 1977. For details on tele-verification, click here.
    Please note: If you have received the Jio SIM using eKYC, you need not do tele-verification.
  6. If you are not able to make calls and getting message "Your account is running out of balance, please recharge your account to make calls via Jio.com or MyJio app," the Unlimited benefits have not yet been assigned. Please click here to raise a Service Request. (After signing in with your Jio ID & Password, select 'Service Request' option from your profile name at the top right hand corner).
  7. If you are unable to make calls despite running above mentioned checks, click here to raise a Service Request. (After signing in with your Jio ID & Password, select 'Service Request' option from your profile name at the top right hand corner).

  8. If you are not able to make calls recently, kindly follow the below mentioned steps:

    1. If you have changed your device recently, check if your mobile phone is compatible with Jio 4G VoLTE or LTE network.
      If you are using an LTE compatible mobile, install Jio4GVoice App to make calls.
    2. Ensure your Android or iOS mobile phone is updated with the latest device software.

      For Android Users:

      For iOS Users:
    3. Ensure the network settings on your device are enabled.

      iOS users:

    4. Check if you are getting VoLTE/LTE/4G sign beside the signal indicator on your handset.
      Restart your mobile if you are still not getting VoLTE / LTE / 4G sign on the device.
    5. Check the number of signal bars visible on your mobile screen. If you see no signal bars or a single bar or it keeps fluctuating, you are in a low coverage area. Click here to raise a Service Request. (After signing in with your Jio ID & Password, select 'Service Request' option from your profile name at the top right hand corner).
      Note: If you are able to call Jio numbers, but unable to call other operator numbers, it is due to insufficient interconnection capacity provided by them. We are pursuing with the operators and the authorities to resolve the issue at the earliest. Thank you for your understanding.
    6. If there are full signal bars, but you still cannot make calls despite running above mentioned checks, click here to raise a Service Request. (After signing in with your Jio ID & Password, select 'Service Request' option from your profile name at the top right hand corner).


    In brief, if you are unable to make calls

    1. Check if your mobile phone is compatible with Jio 4G
    2. Ensure your Android or iOS mobile phone is updated with the latest device software
    3. Ensure the network settings on your device are enabled
    4. Check if you are getting VoLTE / LTE / 4G sign beside the signal bars on your handset
    5. Ensure that you have completed the tele-verification process
