You can run server software on a Virtual Machine (VM).
Each data disk has capacity of up to 32,767 GB. The number of data disks you can use depends on the size of the Virtual Machine (VM). Microsoft Azure Managed Disks (AMD) are the recommended disk storage offerings for persistent storage of data. You can use multiple managed disks with each Virtual Machine. There are two types of durable storage options - Premium and Standard managed disks.
You can establish a remote connection using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) for a Windows VM. A maximum of two concurrent connections are supported, until the server is configured as a Remote Desktop Services session host.
Temporary disk should not be used to store data. You may lose data that cannot be recovered.
You can change the drive letter by moving the page file and re-assigning drive letters, but you need to make sure, you follow steps in a specific order. For more details click (Steps).
If you want your VM to be part of an availability set, you need to create the VM within the set. VM cannot be added to an availability set after it has been created.
Yes. You can upload a VM to Microsoft Azure.
Yes. You can resize the OS disk.
Yes. Using managed images, you can create an image of a VM and then use the image to build multiple new VMs.

Migration can be performed using different methods. You can choose to migrate using Microsoft Azure site recovery feature or bring your image to Microsoft Azure directly. Yes. You can upgrade your server or Virtual Machine (VM) to the latest version of Windows by creating new VM’s and migrating your applications manually.
You will need to restore it from backup or spin a new Virtual Machine (VM).
Yes. If you want additional image, you can place a request for custom pack while choosing your Cloud server in a Box plan. By default, Cloud Server in a Box comes with a specific image in the pack. For Windows you get the latest OS version (2016/ 2019) and for Linux you get the Ubuntu 20.02 OS version.
If you choose custom pack, you are provided with login details to the tenant/ subscription. You are free to spin up the resources of your choice in respective tenant and billing is done on usage basis.
To avail Cloud services, you only need to input GSTN No and CIN No information while submitting your basic information online.

Yes, you can buy any number of packs. All the resources will be deployed to one tenant/ subscription. You will get the details on your registered email ID to login to respective subscriptions. Each pack is deployed in a separate resource group.
While choosing the packs in Jio Self-Care portal, you are provided with the option to add additional disks and disk type. You can place requests there.
Jio’s Cloud Server in a Box packs are automatically backed up. You may do the basic troubleshooting from Self-Care. If the issue persists, please contact Jio Business care at 1800 8899 444 or write to businesscare@jio.com.
The Cloud Server in a Box comes with a pre-defined set of VMs and you need to ensure that the applications are compatible with the underlying OS. Any difficulty in installing the software on the servers should be taken up with the respective vendor.
The server can be decommissioned from Cloud by simply removing the Virtual Machines (VM’s) and their associated resources (NIC, Disk, Public IP, etc.). You can do this by logging into the Microsoft Azure portal or by using Microsoft Azure PowerShell.
You can recover the server/ Virtual Machines (VMs) from the backup that is pre-configured as part of the pack. You can login to Microsoft Azure portal and select the recovery service vault present in the respective pack’s resource groups. Under Backup Items, select the VM and choose to restore.
Server can be rebooted directly on the Virtual Machine (VM) or from the Microsoft Azure portal.
You can find information on the performance and SLA of all your services and can also access data at all times on Self-Care portal.
